No national system tracks them. No clearinghouse exists to connect a retiring K9, a discharged therapy dog, an aging guide animal, with a home that knows what it's taking on.
So they wait. In shelters that don't know their history. In kennels, past the point anyone is still looking. Some don't get found in time at all.

The name came from a source that was instrumental in getting these pages published. Equally, the delay is credited to the same. Bottom line the purpose of the page far outweighs the how it got here. This is about rehoming service animals that either retire or are orphaned, the importance is real. With pages undone, we are launching this soft launch to get this program circulating. These service animals do not tire, they rest uneasy as they are on alert always. They service the people or a mission and at the end, sometimes the animal cannot be cared for. These animals sometimes end up in shelters and worse. Here, now, is a place where you can register your service animal and allow it to transition to a well-cared for pet. Registration will help us rehome the service animals that retire or are injured or worse orphaned, that end up in pet shelters and even euthanized because of their age. This program is important and will be supported indefinitely to save these forgotten animals. .
